Today, I am Grateful..

While I was leaving Church today, I realized that I have so many things in life to be grateful for. And since I love making lists, here I go. (:

I am Grateful for:

• A beautiful family that is so incredibly close. We really are like Best Friends. All of us.
  I Love You Mom, Dad, Brandon, Kristin, Tyler, Ann and Brent.
• Wonderful Parents who have been married for 29 years today! Go them, right?
• I went to see my cousin, Steven's, farewell today. He gave such a lovely talk and I even learned something new. (I had no idea that Joseph Smith translated the entire Book of Mormon in only 65 days!) He taught how the Book of Mormon is the Keystone of our religion and without it, we have nothing. Although I already knew this, it was shown to me in a different light. I have really become close to Steven in the past couple years. I will miss him terribly, but I know that there are people in Paraguay who are in need of this Gospel and who better than Steven to give them that gift? Love you Stevie!!
• Also, at my cousin's farewell- My cousin from the other side, Emily, gave a talk and she did a wonderful job. Even though she is younger than me, I really look up to her.
• Missionary Work. One of my best guy friends, Tyler Shaw is serving a mission in New Mexico right now and through simple emails, he has been able to touch our friends back home. My really good friend Nuthaniel came to church with me for his first time today, and he didn't hate it. :)
• The Gospel. 'nuff said.
• My Dad. He was set apart as the first counselor in the Bishopbric. it is nice to have someone in our house who honors his Priesthood. I can't tell you how many times I have been blessed by this.
• Wonderful friends who are there for support. I was feeling kinda down on Saturday night and my friend, Jeremy dropped everything to meet me for a movie to cheer me up.
• To live in this wonderful nation.
• That this economy hasn't affected my family too bad.
• Pictures to capture unforgettable moments.
• My iPhone. Love it. Best Purchase I have made in... well, forever.
• Celestial Marriage... I honestly Can't wait. Just need to find an eligible bachelor. ;)
• Even though I honestly hate it sometimes, I am grateful for the opportunity to go to college; to further my education in order to start a good career.
• For a job that I LOVE so much at the U (not at Archibald's). This job has brought me to 6 of the best people that I have ever met and I know that we will be friends forever. I have grown closer to them than any other group of people in my life. Also, it pays my tuition so that is awesome.
• Well obviously this list can go on and on, but I have some work I need to get done.

I don't even think my dad reads this, but if he does, I just want him to know how much I love him for all that he is. I know this is a really cliche thing to say, but I honestly feel that I have the best dad in the world. <3

I Wanna Punch the Rain in the Face!

I Feel Jipped! I didn't take summer school so that I could actually enjoy my summer. I wanted to spend everyday laying out and swimming at Raging Waters, like I did last summer. But Unfortunately I haven't been able to, because it hasn't stopped raining. Here I am, on June 20th, in a Hoodie. Yeah, My life is sad. The sun better come out and play in the next 64 days before school starts.

We Got More Bounce in California

Two weeks ago, me and Tre took our annual trip down to California to visit his family after finals were over. It was so nice there; the weather was beautiful. We spent six days down there, and on the sixth day- my family (Mom, Dad, Brandon, Kristin, Tyler, Ann and Brent) met us down there so that we could celebrate Mom's birthday. Tre and Lili, playing Nintendo DSMe and the Baby.There he is!Tre's nephew, Auli. He's the cutest.On our last day with Tre's family, we went down to Hollywood. Six flags was having a deal where you could get in for only $25 per person- so we decided that was a great idea. Unfortunately, so did the rest of the west coast- it was so crowded. And on top of that- it was 104 degrees! It was so hot and it took us 2+ hours to get on the first ride. The ride: Tatsu was awesome it tilted you as you rode to make it as though you were flying. After the first big loop, Brent, Tre and I saw something fall from the ride. As we get off the ride, Tyler realizes that it was his wallet! Not only did it have his credit cards, license and $70 in it- it also had his DOT license that he needs in order to work. So he was freaking out- and it took us about an hour and a half to get over that, because they told us there was nothing that they could do until the park closed. So we rode another ride and then went to dinner.

Before we got into the park- everyone was so energized and in good spirits.

Five Minutes in- too DANG HOT!!!

After dinner, we came back to the park got on a final ride and then waited around for nearly two hours to see if they would find it. (don't worry, we entertained ourselves by taking a bunch of pictures). Once the park closed, it was back to business and everyone was in a horrible mood again as we anticipated the worst. We waited at the lost and found and the guys who searched the ride came down holding a baseball cap. So I went up to the lady and told her that I had lost a brown fossil wallet and she was really hopeful... until I told her where I had lost it, and then she just shakes her head and says, "Nope, they just searched Tatsu and all they found was this hat." I look inside the hat and there is Tyler's wallet!!! I just started jumping up and down and then ran to find Tyler. Everyone was so relieved- especially Mom, who almost starting crying.
Needless to say, the day was quite the adventure. In eleven hours that we were there, we rode three rides and ate dinner.

This is the last (and best!) ride that we rode. The initial drop was 255 feet and went underground. Another plus: no one lost anything on it.

The next day, we went to the mall and the Aquarium and walked around to burn time until our plane left.

Before went out we went to Panda, and this was what Brent's fortune cookie said.

And what mine said. I think they knew we were coming.

Me and Kristin liked the Aquarium so much more than the boys. We loved touching all of the creatures. so much that we got left behind so many times.

Yay!!

Today grades were posted for Spring Semester. I took four classes including biology, sociology, health & diversity and gender studies. I worked really hard and got my first 4.0 of my college career and am pretty happy about it! Just thought I'd share the good news.
