Whew, I'm exhausted after this post.

Okay, this is quite embarrassing, but inevitable. It happens every year, as soon as school starts I get super behind on my blog and then I have to play the catch up game and go back almost two months to relay all the cool things that are going on in my life.

As you all know, I am in an organization called UPC and as part of being a student leader, we were sent to Boulder, Colorado to a leadership institution called I-LEAD. There we met kids just like us from all over the country. It was a great bonding and learning experience for the seven of us who work at the U. Please let me introduce you to my UPC family. On the top left is Alison (the oldest sister), then there's the pre-teen who thinks she is a lot older than she is: Michelle (aka Meesh), then Papi Rob, next is the twins: Jeremy and Erin (Jer-Bear and Er-Bear). On the bottom row is Me who is the youngest (decided age:5) and last but not least, Ashley- the second oldest sister. We have become very close since our mother's death. It really is a great story- our house caught on fire and Mom was downstairs and all the kids were up and Papi had to choose and he chose to save us. Pretty sad, but we get by.

Jumping Photo. We've become quite good at these. My sisters are SO beautiful.
The twins: together for the first time since the womb.

We look like a hair commercial. Like I said- Pros.

The BUSTED CHIAS: Michelle, Brian, Joe, Katie, Carlos, Anna, Shaun, Nate, Katy Jo, Kelly, Heather, Me and Jackie. It's genetics.

Meesh and I ready for the 80's Dance Party. Yet another picture of the three of us. But this one is my favorite :)Right before we were leaving to come back to UTAH.
Note: the reason I am wet is because Ash and I had just ran through sprinklers but then remembered we were taking pics so we hurried and blow-dried out hair.

Being in charge of Crimson Nights this year has proven to be very stressful, yet very rewarding. The first CN this year was themed a Beach Boardwalk and it was a HUGE success. We had tons of cool things for students to do free of charge: Firework show, dance party, henna tattoos, face painting, trampoline with harness and more!!

There were so many people!! This picture doesn't do it justice. So-funny story. We had a firetruck (see pic above) as a marketing tool. After each Crimson Nights we take all the volunteers to breakfast at Village Inn and we thought, "We should take the firetruck!- Yeah GREAT idea!"...until we got pulled over. Ashley, Alison and Me trying to hide=FAIL! At Breakfast. Because of the event, getting pulled over and breakfast, I didn't get home until 6am!!

As another right of passage of college, this year I have joined the MUSS (Mighty Utah Student Section) for the football games. I went to my first college game last week and it was so much FUN!

Yep, Hardcore.

This picture is to show how many students are in the muss
(and this is only one of three sections!!)

My school has an annual competition with Utah State to see which school can collect the most blood. Me, Ashley and Rob all decided to go and donate. Well, Kind of. We got there and Rob couldn't donate because he just got back from Africa (if you visit any country who has problems with Malaria-you cannot donate for a year) and I couldn't donate because after testing my blood, there wasn't enough Iron in my blood and my temperature was .2 degrees too high. :(Rob and I so sad that we cannot donate.
Ashley, just saving lives-no big deal.Me, holding a pound of Ashley's blood. Everyone thinks this is so gross? I don't know why?!

We went down to St. George to see my cousin, Olivia get baptized over Labor Day weekend.
Playing Scrabble. This was a nightly occurance. It can also get pretty competitive. Brent won one time and after Grandma quit because she was mad she wasn't winning and Brent says, "Grandma, aren't you going to congratulate me on my first win?" Her response? "Congratulations you rat fink...Bastard." lol.
MAYBE this is why Grandma kept losing, by picking hands like this. Just a thought. Let me introduce...Shaky Face.

I love hammoks! ____________________________________________________
For UPC, we had a social and for it we decided to play dodgeball. It ended up being so much fun!!

Last girl standing.

Directors vs. Everyone Else.
(of course we won)
OK Kidd-os, That's all for now.

Today, I am Grateful..

While I was leaving Church today, I realized that I have so many things in life to be grateful for. And since I love making lists, here I go. (:

I am Grateful for:
  • A beautiful family that is so incredibly close. We really are like Best Friends. All of us.
I Love You Mom, Dad, Brandon, Kristin, Tyler, Ann and Brent.
  • Wonderful Parents who have been married for 29 years today! Go them, right?
  • I went to see my cousin, Steven's, farewell today. He gave such a lovely talk and I even learned something new. (I had no idea that Joseph Smith translated the entire Book of Mormon in only 65 days!) He taught how the Book of Mormon is the Keystone of our religion and without it, we have nothing. Although I already knew this, it was shown to me in a different light. I have really become close to Steven in the past couple years. I will miss him terribly, but I know that there are people in Paraguay who are in need of this Gospel and who better than Steven to give them that gift? Love you Stevie!!
  • Also, at my cousin's farewell- My cousin from the other side, Emily, gave a talk and she did a wonderful job. Even though she is younger than me, I really look up to her.
  • Missionary Work. One of my best guy friends, Tyler Shaw is serving a mission in New Mexico right now and through simple emails, he has been able to touch our friends back home. My really good friend Nuthaniel came to church with me for his first time today, and he didn't hate it. :)
  • The Gospel. 'nuff said.
  • My Dad. He was set apart as the first counselor in the Bishopbric. it is nice to have someone in our house who honors his Priesthood. I can't tell you how many times I have been blessed by this.
  • Wonderful friends who are there for support. I was feeling kinda down on Saturday night and my friend, Jeremy dropped everything to meet me for a movie to cheer me up.
  • To live in this wonderful nation.
  • That this economy hasn't affected my family too bad.
  • Pictures to capture unforgettable moments.
  • My iPhone. Love it. Best Purchase I have made in... well, forever.
  • Celestial Marriage... I honestly Can't wait. Just need to find an eligible bachelor. ;)
  • Even though I honestly hate it sometimes, I am grateful for the opportunity to go to college; to further my education in order to start a good career.
  • For a job that I LOVE so much at the U (not at Archibald's). This job has brought me to 6 of the best people that I have ever met and I know that we will be friends forever. I have grown closer to them than any other group of people in my life. Also, it pays my tuition so that is awesome.
  • Well obviously this list can go on and on, but I have some work I need to get done.

    Goodnight!

Aw, they're the best! This is the best it gets for a "nice" picture of Brandon and Kristin."Oh! I get it cockroach beats everything. One more time for all the marbles."Tyler and AnnFirst attempt to blow out all the candles.

Oh maybe on the second turn. . .

Oh i guess the third time is the charm.

I don't even think my dad reads this, but if he does, I just want him to know how much I love him for all that he is. I know this is a really cliche thing to say, but I honestly feel that I have the best dad in the world. <3

We Got More Bounce in California

Two weeks ago, me and Tre took our annual trip down to California to visit his family after finals were over. It was so nice there; the weather was beautiful. We spent six days down there, and on the sixth day- my family (Mom, Dad, Brandon, Kristin, Tyler, Ann and Brent) met us down there so that we could celebrate Mom's birthday. Tre and Lili, playing Nintendo DSMe and the Baby. There he is!Tre's nephew, Auli. He's the cutest. On our last day with Tre's family, we went down to Hollywood. This is Me, Tre and Tre's little sister: RaeMishaI LOVE big things! This picture cost $4- just to stand with the characters!

Six flags was having a deal where you could get in for only $25 per person- so we decided that was a great idea. Unfortunately, so did the rest of the west coast- it was so crowded. And on top of that- it was 104 degrees! It was so hot and it took us 2+ hours to get on the first ride. The ride: Tatsu was awesome it tilted you as you rode to make it as though you were flying. After the first big loop, Brent, Tre and I saw something fall from the ride. As we get off the ride, Tyler realizes that it was his wallet! Not only did it have his credit cards, license and $70 in it- it also had his DOT license that he needs in order to work. So he was freaking out- and it took us about an hour and a half to get over that, because they told us there was nothing that they could do until the park closed. So we rode another ride and then went to dinner.

Before we got into the park- everyone was so energized and in good spirits.

Five Minutes in- too DANG HOT!!!

After dinner, we came back to the park got on a final ride and then waited around for nearly two hours to see if they would find it. (don't worry, we entertained ourselves by taking a bunch of pictures). Once the park closed, it was back to business and everyone was in a horrible mood again as we anticipated the worst. We waited at the lost and found and the guys who searched the ride came down holding a baseball cap. So I went up to the lady and told her that I had lost a brown fossil wallet and she was really hopeful... until I told her where I had lost it, and then she just shakes her head and says, "Nope, they just searched Tatsu and all they found was this hat." I look inside the hat and there is Tyler's wallet!!! I just started jumping up and down and then ran to find Tyler. Everyone was so relieved- especially Mom, who almost starting crying.
Needless to say, the day was quite the adventure. In eleven hours that we were there, we rode three rides and ate dinner.

The whole Crew!

This is the last (and best!) ride that we rode. The initial drop was 255 feet and went underground. Another plus: no one lost anything on it.

Kristin, with the "G" that stands for GrassStain.

Ann and Tyler

Me and Brent with the "I" standing for Incredible, or so we'd both like to think.

Mom and Dad all tuckered out

The next day, we went to the mall and the Aquarium and walked around to burn time until our plane left.

Before went out we went to Panda, and this was what Brent's fortune cookie said.

And what mine said. I think they knew we were coming.

At the mall, we bought $15 worth of gummies. Here's Brent showing off his gummy fangs

Me and Kristin liked the Aquarium so much more than the boys. We loved touching all of the creatures. so much that we got left behind so many times.
