Happy Birthday Shmo!

Happy Pioneer Day!

Being the non-traditional family we are, we didn't go to the parade or to the rodeo or any fairs. Instead we bought tickets to the iMax theatre to see the new Batman movie. It was amazing; we all loved it-especially on that huge screen. Then after the movie we all headed over to Crown Burger to eat. Later that night, Tré and I got on the roof to watch some fireworks. I have to say, for someone who loves fireworks-i was disappointed. It wasn't as good as being there. As always, it was fun being with family!

Brandon, who decided mixing the Salt & Pepper
at Crown Burger, was a good idea.

..Ouch! Charlie that REALLY hurt..

I have six best friends from dancing in high school: Allee, Jessica, Madi, Morgan, Joyce and Kenzie. Well since Morgan and Madi are going away for college in August, I decided that we needed to do something big this summer. We all rented a new townhome in Park City, Utah for three days. Although it was expensive, it was something that I'll never forget! We had the best time reminiscing, dancing and just being friends. Our house was beautiful; it had huge plasma screen TVs in every room, three levels and California king-sized beds for all of us.

The first night there we unloaded our bags and went down to main street and went to Mainstreet Pizza and Noodle we ordered two pizzas and after we were done eating our pizza and sat there for twenty-five more minutes- Jessica, Joyce and Morg still had not recieved their CHEESE pizza. It's a cheese pizza; you just put cheese and sauce on dough, what could possibly be taking so long?? So as impatient as we were, we gradually kept stacking things to put our number on so the workers would see that we still hadn't been served-our efforts went unnoticed. So finally after they'd been served (45 minutes after we had walked in) the manager gave their money back. Then that night, we went home and played Rockband (sans Madi-see video), hot-tubbed and then talked until 4 in the morning.

Day two- we woke up at noon and got ready and went to lunch and shopping at the outlet mall. 6 hours later we returned home with Coldstone ice cream for dinner and watched our favorite show: So You Think You Can Dance. After we wanted to watch a scary movie, but couldn't because Jessica is a baby. So as we were watching some other movie Jessica had to go the bathroom. So i decided we should all scatter and hide in this huge house before she came back, but only Madi, Kenzie and I thought it was a good idea so we squeezed underneath my bed. About and hour (literally) later Allee came upstairs to grab something and Kenzie started laughing and I said "Kenzie, we DID NOT spend an hour under here just for you to blow it". So Allee promised she'd keep quiet, which is not something she is good at, so I knew we had to move, Kenzie and Madi had a great idea-to hide in the linen closet. we stuffed ourselves in those tiny shelves for twenty minutes, until Allee found us (because Jessica was pouting in her bed because she didn't want to get scared).

Day 3- we had to be cleaned up and out by 10am so we got up and left and went down to ride the Alpine Slide and Alpine Coaster. The Alpine Slide was fun, but nothing compared to the Alpine Coaster. We went and made friends with the guys running it and they let us go a second time ($20 each value)! We were sad to leave, but decided we would do it every summer, no matter how far away school and other activities take us away from each other.

The view from our deck *beautiful*

Our sky-high tower trying to catch our server's attentionHappy with pizza...and money
Pay close attention to Madi dancing (she smacks her head on her own knee) she had such a headache afterwards, that she didn't want to do anything else.

Madi, Me and Kenzie waiting to scare someone under the bed
Maybe we should've stayed underneath the bed..Me and Madi before the Alpine Coaster
(with our friend who let us ride twice)

We bought best friend rings that say "dare",
"double dare" or "triple dare"

Congratulations Eric and Jen!

Uncle Eric and Jennifer got married on July 3rd and we (Grandpa, Mom and I) met them at the court house for their small ceremony.
It was hilarious when the judge, who was named Antigone, walked in and she looked younger than I did. But getting back to the posting-after the ceremony we went and had dinner at Pei Wei. It was just a laid-back (kind of like the couple) wedding.

Grandpa was worried about being under-dressed because he was coming straight from work, but I think he felt better once he saw Eric in shorts and sandals.

It was nice to see them start their lives together and to welcome Jennifer into our family!

Boy! Quite the Weekend.

This was the best 4th of July weekend that I can ever remember. It all started with the Magna Parade on Friday. I ran for Miss Magna last June and won 1st Attendant and for some reason they decided not to have the pageant again until August (don't ask?) so they asked if we would do the parade again this year. That's a picture of Me and Ash-a good friend from drill team.

Then after the parade, we drove to Utah Lake to meet Uncle Randy, Aunt Mary and our fabulous cousins. Uncle owns S.S. Marine so he gets to take the boats out and we loved tagging along! We got there at two and left at eight (I thought it was like four when we got done-I guess time really DOES fly when you're having fun). I fell in love with tubing when Steven took me and Nikki out for a "ride" -more like a beating:). Then Erica and I went out with Uncle driving, wow! that was insane. (I need the video Becca) Then we were treated to dinner at my new might-be favorite restaurant: the Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious.

We also spent all of Saturday together-we could never get sick of them! We really need to see each other more often; those two days just flew. Thanks guys for all the fun!

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

So instead of relying on seeing our (Mom, Dad, Brent and Me) pictures on others' blogs, we decided to start our own and show you what we've been up to.
